TECH--NO--logy? OR YES?

"Computer a boon or a bane?", "Are mobile phones serving the right purpose?", "Internet to encourage young crowd for notorious activities".   These are few comments or statements often heard or read in the newspapers or on the televisions.  All these statements concentrate our mind onto one topic, "Is technology overtaking human brain for solving the problems?".  I am of the opinion that technology often hinders with human thinking and impedes a persons thinking capability--the person is dependent on the technology--even for his daily life problems.
Consider early 1990's when the computer:the greatest human invention, was not present, was a man not knowing the distance between earth and the moon, or was the man not knowing the speed of light? Was it necessary for a common man to check the temperature of the fire before putting hand into it? All these questions have just one answer.  A man was sensible enough that he could live his life without technology.
The spherical-elliptical shape of the earth was discovered by Galileo much before any one could think of internet or computer.  Sun is just a source of energy and not a god of life or light was told by Galileo with his observations and calculations and not by computer or technological aid.
Letters and messages were sent in writing during early 1900's when Facebook or smartphones were just imaginations.  Was a man abstained from his living as there was not technology? Certainly no.  In fact during the absence of technology, the man was independent and could work even if there was a power failure or technical shortage.
As a person is depending on technology for his daily problems, the other side of the coin tells us that technology helps us in making the life of person a luxury. Twelve cylinder 6000 cc car is obviously much better than a horse buggy, pressing a mobile phone button is much easy than to direct a  pigeon or tell a man to run 23 miles to give a message.
Considering all the negative and the positive things about technology, we learn one thing, that is, technology should work with a person hand to hand, but a person should not let it rule his brain.
A person with technology, but knows when and how to use it, will always excel. We should remember, "man created computer and computer never created a man".
